A Place I love
I can see stars all around. I can’t see any other things in the darkness.I feel a cool breezethrough my hair. There’s no more light, only the stars sparkling like brilliant jewels. I noticed that there are so many stars always above us. But I usually don’t look up at the sky so much in the day time or even at night. How many stars are there in all? It seems that I can reach some of them.
I remember one day when I was a child. It was in summer. I went camping with my family. I’m sure it was my first time to spend all night in the mountains and also sleep in a tent. We played with many natural things like sticks, stones, and small creatures in the river. My father caught fish for us, and my mother cooked them. While my parents were busy, I took care of my little brother. We had a delicious meal in the open, then we went to bed in the tent.
I couldn’t believe the scene immediately spread in front of my eyes. So many stars! They made me feel sick the first time, I think it was because I never imagined there were so many. After a while I was drawn towards the star’s world. I couldn’t find any constellations because there were too many stars. I could see a lot of stars clearly, big ones, small ones, bright white ones, red ones, orange ones.
I stretched my arms toward the stars to get one of the biggest brilliant stars. It seemed not only that I wanted to reach it, but also that the stars wanted to fall down onto me like a shower. I unconsciously closed my eyes quickly and covered them with my hands. That night I dreamt about a fantastic trip in space through the stars.
That is my special unforgettable beautiful memory with my family’s love.
When I see the stars, I still remember the day when I was a child protected by my parents’ love. I think I was like a child who nestled up to her parents. So, I always feel my heart getting warm and steady while the stars lap over me. Once, after losing my boyfriend I went to see the stars alone because I wanted the stars to help my broken heart.
I’d rather stay under the beautiful stars with my favorite person, but if that couldn’t be, I hope to be with somebody who loves seeing the same stars at night, as I do. Under a lot of stars, I’m sure I am loved, and I’m sure I’m loving.
